Kitchen remodeling is usually cabinets, counters, flooring, hardware and paint. With some projects you can get into things like tile backsplashes and new islands. What we’ve done is provide guidelines for each type of kitchen project with what materials to expect and price ranges. We have listed each type of kitchen remodeling project as basic, professional, and custom. As with any type of remodeling project you can pick and choose your priorities for where to spend your money. The biggest variables for a kitchen remodel are cabinet choice and size. All of these kitchens are nice! The big difference between a kitchen and bathroom remodel is the shower.
Basic Kitchen or Bathroom Remodel
Basic Kitchen or Bathroom Remodel
With a basic kitchen or bathroom remodel you can expect new imported cabinets or box store cabinets with new countertops, usually manufactured quartz or Formica or butcher block, you can’t get into granites, marbles or real quartz with a basic kitchen remodel. New vinyl plank or tile flooring is part of a basic kitchen or bathroom remodel as well as new paint. A new stainless or composite sink is standard as well as new fixtures. For the shower in the bath you can expect a new insert of some sort installed.

Most kitchen or bathroom remodels are this type of remodel. You get new cabinets that can be imported but you can start getting into some of the nicer American made cabinets. You get into the entry level stone counters like granite, marble and quartz. Flooring can be luxury vinyl to engineered wood to nice tile. You can move the arrangement around a little. You get to pick some of the nicer fixtures and can start looking at extras like under cabinet lighting and nicer range hoods in the kitchen. In the bathroom you get to pick from the nicest shower inserts or some of the nicer tiles showers available and can even start getting into some granite and quartz showers.

This is the kitchen you see in magazines. It includes the nicest American made cabinets the high end
granites and quartz. You can rearrange the kitchen layout or add an island. The finest lighting and
fixtures with a nice range hood. Any type of flooring you can dream up. A lot of these kitchens or
bathrooms you will be working with an interior designer to help get your idea off the ground. In the
bathroom you can get niches and benches with lighting and maybe a steamer. Your shower materials
can be the nicest tiles to granite to marble to quartz. The sky is really the limit with these types of
remodels so whatever you can dream up.
